Abstract

The etiology of Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) is still unclear, however recent studies discover that several cytokines play an important role in progression of AS including interleukin-17. As a pro inflammatory cytokine IL-17 also facilitate production of other cytokines. The IL-17 pathways is a promising targeted therapy for managing AS.
